New Seasonal Menu Offers Delectable & Playful Offerings this Fall
Dubai’s most sought-after dining destination, PLAY Restaurant and Lounge launches a new seasonal menu, full of gastronomical delights and ingenious flavours.  Set against a backdrop of Dubai’s mesmerizing skyline, PLAY continues to charm their cosmopolitan guests with new additions to their signature Mediterrassian menu. The artistically curated culinary visions by Director of Culinary Reif Othman and his team of 40 highly skilled chefs, draw inspiration from the colours of fall and flavours of the season.



Beginning with a delectable array of appetizers is the PLAY Crispy Roti in three tantalizing tastes, including light seared wagyu beef in chipotle sauce, marinated Black Cod in citrus miso, and fork mashed avocado with a secret Japanese condiment, Yuzu Koshu. Also on offer are Steamy Gyoza filled with wagyu osso bucco and Japanese flavours; Lemon Prawn, Chilli Crab which is a blackened soft-shell crab in a spicy chilli sauce, and the Confused Italian which infuses wagyu beef rending with mushroom espuma and gruyere cheese.



For the veggie lovers, there’s Mushroom Tart, Begedil which is a potato beignet with chargrilled spring onion and romesco sauce, Portobello Mushrooms’ Fries served with umeboshi mayonnaise, and Rigatoni, a tomato chilli concasse served on parmesan crisp.

Providing a multitude of taste in every bite are the new Hulk Maki prepared with Japanese eel and avocado, Pyramid Maki that combines marinated mixed RAW fish and picked plum sesame with wasabi mayonnaise, and De-Shell Maki that is served with a mouth-watering deep friend softshell crab, crispy kiwicha, yamagobo and a chili garlic mayonnaise.



Presenting a new take on ever-popular and traditional fried chicken is the P.F.C., Play Fried Chicken, a delicious crispy buttermilk chicken served with coleslaw and spicy mayonnaise, and a fresh Whole Seabream wrapped in banana leaf and cooked with Asian spice paste for the refined palates.

Zou Zou at La Mer, Dubai

After my recent visit to Gunaydin – which in my opinion is the best Turkish restaurant in Dubai, my expectations from any Turkish restaurants have risen to all time high. When I got invited from Zou Zou – the Turkish Lebanese restaurant at La Mer, I was all in for it, to try and compare. I visited Zou Zou last week with a very dear friend who is also a big foodie like me and a lover of all things Turkish. So needless to say, we went there with lots of expectations and a hungry tummy of course. I must mention that Zou Zou didn’t disappoint. First off I have to remark about the service. It was pleasant, warm and quick. I was met by Latif Kural the friendly operations manager who has played a role in the setting up several reputed Turkish restaurants in the Dubai.  He is a fine guy with a very pleasant disposition who ensured we felt 'at home'.
